MJA | Grammar: Present Perfect Tense

Tense yang satu ini  menghubungkan masa lalu dan masa kini. Tense ini digunakan untuk sebuah kejadian/ kegaitan yang dimulai di masa lalu dan masih berlangsung sampai sekarang. Digunakan juga untuk kegiatan/ tindakkan berulang dan tidak ditentukan antara masa lalu dan masa sekarang, dan juga untuk kegiatan/ tindakkan yang baru saja selesai/ berakhir.

Prefect tense ini menggunakan bantuan Auxiliary verb (to have) dan juga Past Participle

Macam-macam Present Perfect Tense:

• Positive

S + Have/ Has + V3 (Past Participle) + O/C

I have worked in the restaurant for 3 years

They have just eaten

She has lived there for 4 month

• Negative

S + Have/ Has + Not + V3 (Past Participle) + O/C

I have not decided to move yet

You have not had the same car for 12 years

He has not played after surgery 3 years ago

• Interrogative

Question Word/ Have/Has + S + V3 (Past Participle) + O/C

Have you worked recently?

Yes, I have                  No, I have not

Has he visited the museum recently?

Yes, He has                 No, He has not

Kamu bisa menyingkat  (Contraction) Have/ Has dengan Not.

Have not = Haven’t

Has not = Hasn’t
